چکیده

This study compares the individual phenolic response of husk tissues Juglans regia L., infected to different degrees severity with walnut anthracnose, which is one most serious and widespread diseases worldwide. A comparison among three differently susceptible cultivars, ‘Franquette’, ‘Milotai 10’ (‘M10’), intenziv’ (‘M10-37’), made. In our methodology, high performance liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry used identify quantify compounds. Our results show that flavanols, flavonols, naphthoquinones account for more than 95% compounds identified in husk. The higher total analyzed content affected by anthracnose confirmed phenolics play a major role plant’s against pathogens. difference between cultivars observed, since French cultivar ‘Franquette’ responds infection Hungarian ‘M10’ ‘M10-37’. Naphthoquinones flavanols have very similar infection. resistance may be due reaction time plant speed it recognizes pathogen quickly containing while has not yet spread. Flavonols important disease control, they respond rapidly naphthoquinones. They also an inhibitory early stages viral bacterial infections.

Total phenols, antioxidant potential and antimicrobial activity of walnut (Juglans regia L.) green husks.

The total phenols content and antioxidant and antimicrobial activities were studied in walnut (Juglans regia L.) green husks aqueous extracts of five different cultivars (Franquette, Mayette, Marbot, Mellanaise and Parisienne). Total phenols content was determined by colorimetric assay and their amount ranged from 32.61 mg/g of GAE (cv. Mellanaise) to 74.08 mg/g of GAE t (cv. Franquette). The a...

Development and characterization of new microsatellites for walnut (Juglans regia).

The expressed sequence tag (EST) database represents a potentially valuable resource for the development of simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers for use in evolutionary studies. EST-SSRs reveal polymorphisms not only within the source taxon, but in related taxa as well. In this paper, we describe a case study in which the publicly available walnut (Juglans regia) EST database was used to develo...

Lipid analysis of Greek walnut oil (Juglans regia L.).

The walnut oil (Juglans regia L.) total lipids (TL) were extracted by the Bligh-Dyer method and the lipid classes have been isolated by chromatographic techniques and they were analyzed by high performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC)/FID and GC-MS. The oil was found to be rich in neutral lipids (96.9% of total lipids) and low in polar lipids (3.1% of total lipids). The neutral lipid fract...

Study on sexual reproduction and some morphological and pathological traits of Ophiognomonia leptostyla in Iran

Walnut anthracnose caused by Ophiognomonia leptostyla is the most important and prevalent fungal disease in most walnut growing areas in Iran. Seventy-five isolates of Ophiognomonia leptostyla, causing walnut anthracnose, were obtained from Juglans regia from various regions of Iran. In order to study the sexual reproduction of the fungus, the isolates collected from various parts of Iran were ...
